Contributions to Lake County United may be made to either one of two accounts.
For regulatory purposes, there are two legal non-profit entities. Lake County United is a 501(c)4 tax-exempt organization that engages in advocacy for its members’ issues. Lake County Sponsors is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization which undertakes research and leadership development efforts in support of Lake County United’s issues. Most of our work falls under the 501(c) 3, which is Lake County Sponsors; however, we are publicly known as Lake County United.
